How can our living spaces — the air, greenspaces, and our residential and working environments — cause disease, help recovery, and promote a more healthy life? And how can we shape policy, change habits, and build cities and communities that are not both ecologically sustainable and health-promoting? This is what I want to find out.
Policy, advocacy, and representational work within higher education and research has run in parallel with my professional activities for a decade. My foci include doctoral training and supervision quality, university alliances and the European Universities Initiative, early-career researcher representation, and ecological sustainability, through the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers↗.
